Beer, Food, Comics: Gumballhead Release Party @ Handlebar

At 3 p.m. on April 8th, 2006, Three Floyds Brewers will tap the season's first key of Gumballhead beer at the Handlebar restaurant in Chicago. This event will mark the return of Three Floyds' "official summer brew," described as a "highly dry hopped American wheat beer". Handlebar welcomes people to visit and enjoy the fresh, local beer, paired food specials, and the chance to win and purchase Three Floyds brewery swag.

"I know I'm not alone when I say that Gumballhead is tops on my favorite beer list", says Handlebar co-owner Todd Gee. "With me, hops is king, and Gumballhead delivers in spades."

Gumballhead beer gets its unique name from the "Gumballhead" comic strip currently running in the Chicago Reader. The strip's co-creators Rob Syers & Mark Fischer will be on-hand to answer questions about their art. They will also have Gumballhead/SKiN GRAFT tee-shirts, comics, and CD's for sale.
